In the clip, a woman is seen lying face-down on a doctor's examination bed.

A medical professional wearing protective clothing and gloves stands beside her before slowly pressing down on a wound in her back.

Almost immediately, brown liquid comes spurting out of the skin art for several minutes before blood eventually spurts out from the giant sore.

The disgusting video has been uploaded to YouTube where it has clocked up more than 248,000 views .

And it wasn't long before viewers were having their say.

Another replied: "You can still get tats but always ask or observe if they're taking fresh needles out of the packet. Everything must be sterile."

It is not clear how the woman's tattoo became infected.
