What you need:
Thread in different colours (a set like this would be perfect)
Toilet paper rolls
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
Here's how:
1. Fold the toilet roll flat. Measure along the roll in 2cm increments and cut the roll so that you have 5 smaller rings.

2. Cut 35cm lengths of yarn. You will see in step 6 how many pieces of yarn you'll need. If you don't have enough, you can simply cut more later.
3. Double over one piece of thread so that it creates a loop. Place the loop through the toilet roll.

4. Pull the ends of the thread back through the loop so that the loop is bound tight to the toilet roll.

5. Both ends of the loop are now facing the same direction and dangle from the toilet roll.

6. Repeat this process with pieces of thread until the toilet roll ring is completely covered. The time consuming part is now behind you.

7. Carefully pull the ends of the threads back through the ring, so that they're on the other side of the ring.

8. Tie the ends together with another piece of thread. Don't cut this thread off, simply tie a knot in the end of it. This will later be used to hang you beanie by.

9. Now you only need to trim the yarn ends, creating a little pom pom on the top of your beanie.
