Nothing is more tragic than having a family fall suddenly ill especially if they are a parent or a spouse. When a member of your family develops a chronic or fatal illness, it can totally subvert the support system holding the family together. Greg Ormondroyd's wife, Donna ended up with a serious brain injury that caused her to collapse and stop breathing which led her to be put into a medically induced coma.

After a brain injury that caused her to stop breathing, Donna was put into a medically induced coma. After a few short weeks, she was taken out of her coma and is currently in a vegetative state. She now needs 24-hour care which has been provided to her by a woman named Anne Robinson. Surprisingly, Anne is now in a relationship with Donna's Husband, Greg. Not only are the two in a relationship, Gregg has moved her into the home that he and Donna share along with their four children.

Friends and family of the couple are furious that Greg has decided to start a relationship with his wife's nurse and moved her into their home while Donna is very much still alive and in the hospital. A family friend says, "It’s been bad enough that Donna went from a bright and bubbly young mum to someone who needs 24-hour care overnight."

"But the fact that Gregg has started a relationship with someone who was nursing Donna, and Anne has now moved in, is very upsetting for her family. It is going on under the noses of Donna and her children, and Donna is not in a state to challenge it."
Gregg and Anne have posted several photos of the two of them together on Facebook adding fuel to the fire. Gregg is said to be completely ignoring the outrage that their friends and family have towards this situation.

This is Anne. Greg says that people do not really know about his life as they are on the outside looking in, and at this time, he really has no interest in talking to any of them about what is going on.

He says that he has his kids and wife to look after and does not want to talk about anything else. Gregg and Donna had been a couple for six years and had just been married for a little over a year when she got sick. He said that he came home one day only to see her getting loaded into the back of an ambulance because she had stopped breathing.

Gregg said he knew that Donna was in a lot of trouble when it took the medics over an hour to revive her. Donna's situation seems to be a hopeless one, but Gregg does say that he hopes she will eventually recover from being in a vegetative state and be able to come home to her family.

"They thought that she wouldn’t pull through and the next couple of days were touch and go – when she was in the coma they kept trying to wake up but you could see she just kept panicking – it was awful," he said.
"It’s turned my world completely upside down, I just want her home now – she’s stuck in that hospital with no stimulation, and she needs her kids around her, if anything will bring her back to us, it’ll be them."

All we can do is hope that someday Donna will recover from her illness even though her situation is not that promising. However, she did manage to survive a massive brain injury and come out of a coma, so there is still a bit of hope. As for the situation between her nurse, Anne, and her husband, we wish Gregg the best of luck in helping Donna's family understand what is going on there. These kinds of situations are never easy.
