The 90s were epic when it comes to having the best television shows for tweens. There were tons of great shows like Saved By The Bell, Sister Sister, Sweet Valley High, and Boy Meets World. Boy Meets World was a show that centered around two teens, Cory and Topanga who were in and on again/off again relationship. Only true fans of the show will remember the coupling of Shawn and Angela.

Personally, as a teen, I loved Rider Strong who played Shawn on Boy Meets World. Trina McGee who played Angela, his love interest, was a great compliment to his character.
Their interracial relationship was something rare to find on TV during those times. Even nowadays, with interracial relationships not being as rare as they used to be, you do not see them portrayed often on TV.

At the time, Boy Meets World was incredibly popular on the Disney network. McGee says that she often received positive and encouraging messages from fans who adored her relationship between her character, Angela, and Shawn.
McGee always hoped that her character's relationship would serve as an example of color blindness for the whole world. Nowadays, McGee works as an actress and is still as stunning as ever at 47-years-old.

McGee is Haitian and was born and raised in the Bronx. To show that she is more than just a pretty face, the actress attended Howard University where she majored in political science.

When she decided that was not the path she wanted to take in life, she moved to New York to pursue her acting career and music. In 2015, she took on her role as Angela again for one episode of the sequel to the series, Girl Meets World.

Angela and Shawn did not get back together in that episode. In real life, McGee is a mother of three children and is in a relationship with actor Marcello Thedford.
