Honesty is the best policy, and that is something that, in theory, we all learn at a very early age. However, there’s some people who’ll say anything to get people’s attention. These are the same people who use social media to act like they’re living la vida loca. Unfortunately for them, it's easier to catch people in lies than ever before. Just ask these 8 folks:
Why You Always Lyin'? See 8 Internet Users Who Got Caught Red Handed
#1 The stages of mourning are universal and experienced by people from all walks of life.
The death of a loved one, especially a parent, inspires people to evaluate their own feelings of mortality.
However, it looks like Scott's son moved to the fifth stage of grief pretty quickly. Not only that but after less than a week he was able to make jokes about his dad's death. Lucky or rude?
#2 This guy apparently passed an orientation group while running and made eye-contact with one girl, who looked him up and down and smiled.
He was so flattered by this that he needed to share this with everyone on Facebook.
Too bad he was too caught up in his own lie that he forgot that people on Facebook know stuff, like the fact that the orientation ended two days before he posted his lie!
#3 This is a clear example of when you try giving someone a compliment and it completely backfires.
I guess that's what happens when you're trying to be nice.
To be fair to this guy, they do look pretty alike. Not alike enough to be the same gender, but enough to be siblings.
#4 If you’re going to lie on Facebook, you should at least make sure there’s no watermarks on your photo! Rookie mistake, dude.
#5 OMG, this is truly embarrassing! It’s bad enough when people make this mistake face-to-face, but on Facebook?!
This is a different level of embarrassment!
After the ‘Um, I'm not pregnant' comment she should have written: Just kidding. Looking great, girl!
#6 Another epic fail! How long do you have to know someone to notice they don’t have a hand? Talk about rude!
#7 Has this guy learned nothing in life?
There's no such thing as a free lunch! And he made the colossal mistake of posting it on Facebook! What was he thinking?
I guess he wasn't, and that's why he got a bit of public humiliation. Though to be fair, the Benihana Representative could've been a lot nicer.
#8 To be fair, dude, if you don’t want your mother to see this type of things, then either don’t post it on Facebook, or unfriend your mother.
