Wife Allegedly Cheated, Beaten And Put Into Car Trunk By Furious Husband

#1 Terrifying footage has emerged from China

which reportedly shows a man beating a woman in front of onlookers before stuffing her in the boot of his car and driving off.

#2 The video starts with the man trying to force the woman into the boot so he can close the door, when he is challenged halfheartedly by bystanders.

He throws punches at the woman's face and repeatedly slaps her as she tries to break free from the man's clutches during the struggle, which is believed to have taken place at a gas station near Huanghua.

#3 At one point the man even slams the boot door back and forth onto the woman's head in a bid to make her back down,

as a woman goes to help her but then stops.

#4 The man manages to get the woman lying down and slams the boot door down on her hand,

forcing her to retract it and therefore allow him to close the boot.

#5 The man, seemingly out of breath after the episode, leans against the car as he checks his keys, while the onlookers just stand by.

#6 The footage garnered criticism of the man's behaviour online,

as well as that of the bystanders who seem to give up their protests after the man closes the boot.

#7 One viewer wrote: 'If I saw a woman with her civil liberties being violated like this, I would have to intervene.'
