To honor the loving memory of her son who tragically passed away, this mom decided to make envelopes of money and a short letter and pass it to strangers, urging them to buy a cake and celebrate the day with their families. Moved by the touching action, one of the strangers took to social media to share the story and now thousands of people have joined the mom to honor and remember her son's memory.
Woman Shocked After Receiving Card With $13 Inside From Grieving Stranger
A unique happening left this woman emotionally disturbed after she was handed a card containing $13 from a complete stranger on the street.
Tammi Bennett, from Barry, South Wales, was out for her walk after having a rough day when a stranger approached her.
In a very short encounter, the stranger gave her an envelope before telling her to ‘have a lovely day’ and disappearing.

After Tammi opened the envelope, she was shocked to find money inside along with a handwritten message.
The stranger who signed the card was 'Jason's mom' and out of a goodwill gesture the mom wanted to do something nice on a day that would have been her son’s 28th birthday.

The note shared the mom's tragic story. According to it, Jason died from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death In Epilepsy).
In loving memory of her son, his mom had just one request that whoever received the card should buy a birthday cake with the money inside the wallet.
The note read: “My son loved birthday cake, actually he liked most cakes,
“Please buy a cake and enjoy it with your family, cake is good any day of the year, not just on a birthday.”

To honor her son, Jason's mom had a heart-touching message for Tammi: “Family is so important, spending time with family is such a precious GIFT!”
Emotional by the stranger's kind gesture, Tammi decided to take to Facebook to share the story.
She wrote: “Really made me emotional, and made me realise not everyone knows how lucky they are to have family who they can spend time with.
Tammi also shared a picture of a birthday cake she had bought for Jason, writing: “We did indeed buy a cake, shared it with the family and wished Jason a happy 28th birthday.”
Internet was left equally touched by Jason's memory and took to the comment's section to wish Jason a warm birthday.
After getting wishes from hundreds and thousands of people, the post eventually reached Jason's mom, who has been in touch with Tammi to thank her for honouring her son’s memory.
Though she wanted to stay anonymous, the mom with North Wales Live that he sadly passed away in January 2020, at just 25 years old as a result of SUDEP.
Now the mom hopes to raise awareness of SUDEP as it affects approximately 1 in every 1,000 people with epilepsy and its cause is currently unknown.
