A morbidly obese woman who weighed nearly 600lbs and used to eat fast-food at least once a day has managed to shed more than 200lbs, after admitting she had become a physical 'burden' on her life partner.

On Wednesday night's episode of TLC series My 600lb Life, June McCamey, 44, from League City, Texas, revealed that her weight had left her barely able to move, meaning she relied almost entirely on her partner Sadi Gregory to do everything physical for her - including bathing her.

June - who has now lost 200lbs after undergoing gastric bypass surgery and seeking therapy to help her deal with the death of her son - said of her relationship: 'When we first got together, I was much more mobile. Now I feel like she is taking care of me like I'm a kid.'

Sadi admitted that when she first met June, she was attracted to her confidence and the fact that she 'liked to get out'. However, she admitted that June's weight had begun to 'restrict her from doing a lot'.

'Maybe a year in I started getting concerned because things [were] changing,' Sadi explained. 'She is totally dependent on me.'

But despite expressing her concerns about her partner's steadily-increasing weight, Sadi didn't stop June from indulging in fast food on a daily basis - and even drove to go and pick up the fat-laden meals for her.

In the episode, June could be seen yelling for Sadi to come into her bedroom because she was hungry. And when Sadi suggested tacos, June insisted that she wanted nachos and burritos with extra beef, extra cheese, and extra sour cream - all of which Sadi agrees to pick up.

On her way to Taco Bell, Sadi even admitted that she often went out to get her partner fast-food two or even three times a day.

'I am conflicted about buying us food,' Sadi explained. 'I give in because I don't want a fuss. The relationship changed to like a caretaker. That's not what a signed up for.'

Although June admitted their relationship had 'become a burden to Sadi', she admitted that she was struggling to fight her addiction to food, an obsession which was made incredibly apparent when Said returned home with the Taco Bell food, and June realized there was a part of the order missing.

After rifling through the bag of fast food, June even accused Sadi of not following the list she gave her.

'Did you look at the paper?' she asked. 'You couldn't have.'

Sadi, who insisted that she followed the list exactly, then told her partner: 'That's what you get for your long orders.'

So June called Taco Bell to complain that her order was missing an item, leaving her partner totally stunned and bemused.

'She's like an addict. Her fix is food,' Sadi explained.

Indeed, June soon revealed that her fixation with food was by no means a recent issue, explaining that, after her four pregnancies, she weighed around 400lbs, because she never managed to shed any of the weight after giving birth - and just kept putting more on every time she got pregnant.

But it was after the death of her 17-year-old son Kenneth four years ago that June's weight really started to get out of control, despite the fact that she knew how devastated he would be about the state of her health.

'If my son saw me right now, it would hurt him,' she admitted.

June added that she felt as though she was 'living in a nightmare', admitting that her weight left her in such pain that she couldn't even stand.

'I feel imprisoned in my body. I'm in pain. It hurts to sit up. I'm breathing heavy, chest is pounding. I'm worried my heart will give out,' she said.

'I feel like at any moment of me standing up my knees are going to give up,' she adds. 'The weight is too much. I don't know how much more weight I can actually put on my knees. I don't think they are going to last.'

June can be seen struggling to get out of bed and go to the bathroom, where it takes her two or three tries to lift her legs into the tub.

Once she is sitting down on the edge of the bathtub, Sadi comes in to wash scrub her back.

'To have someone bathe me is so embarrassing,' June admits.

Sadi explains that the real June is not the person that you see on the outside. 'It is like the real her is a prisoner inside the body she is in,' she adds.

June says when she walks it feels like she is 'carrying a toddler on each' leg. Her lack of mobility has left her confined to three areas in her home.

'I have three seats: my bed, the bathroom toilet, and my chair,' she said. 'My world is confined. I feel suffocated in in it. I feel like I am going from a bed coffin to a chair coffin.'

So June decided to consult with weight loss expert Dr Younan Nowzaradan in Houston, Texas, to whom she admitted that she had suffered a stroke in 2010 and a heart attack in 2011 which she believed led to her piling on the pounds.

Dr Nowzaradan admitted the mother-of-four to hospital to monitor her health before sending her home to lose some weight by herself before she could qualify for surgery.

However, after the operation June continued to struggle with her weight - and at one point even gained 20lbs.

To make matters worse, as she was trying to get to grips with her new healthy eating regime, June began suffering from horrendous stomach pains, which caused her to throw up everything she tried to eat - making her all the more eager to return to the comfort foods she used to enjoy before her surgery.

At one point, June was seen preparing herself a healthy meal - which she began throwing up just moments after eating it, telling the cameras: 'I knew it was gonna hurt, but Lord have mercy on my soul!'

And it wasn't just the physical ailments taking a toll on June's recovery; the devoted mother also realized that her ongoing sadness over the tragic death of her son was preventing her from really being able to embrace her new lifestyle - because she was still living in the past, in the hopes of preserving his memory.

At the recommendation of her doctors, June decided to see a therapist, with whom she discussed her unresolved issues and finally managed to find some closure - allowing her to finally mourn for her son without any guilt, and move on to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

June soon began dropping weight quickly, losing a staggering 201lbs over 12 months, taking her weight down from 590lbs to 389lbs.

And in addition to improving her health, June found that her slimmed-down physique also mean she was able to embrace new experiences - including those which she had assumed she could never do, such as walking by the ocean with her daughter Laterria, with whom she held a small memorial service in honor of her late son.

The mother-of-four also treated herself to a makeover, visiting a hair salon for the first time in years, where she had her locks carefully coiffed into a sleek and wavy style. To ensure that she was able to showcase her slimmed figure fully, June bought herself a whole new wardrobe too, including several tighter-fitting numbers, which she would never have dared to wear before losing all that weight.
