#1 Keara hoped to have lips like Angelina Jolie but due to a botched procedure she was unable to close her mouth for ten years

Keara, 30, wanted to renew herself after a break-up and her mum Michelle paid for lip fillers as a Christmas present.

She revealed that during college she was in a relationship and confessed: "In a way I let myself go a little bit. And then we broke up and I just used it as an opportunity to like get back out there.

"And so I had mentioned to my mom that I wished I had lips like Angelina Jolie and she said, 'That's a really easy thing to do.'"

In a video clip on E News, Keara explains that during an assessment at the facility, which has not been named, a nurse suggested injecting one cc of silicone into her top lip.

But immediately after the injection the mum-of-one knew something was wrong.

Keara realised her lips had only swelled at the sides and the nightmare continued when they gradually grew bigger each year.

#4 Doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif performed the corrective surgery on Botched

The family appeared on Botched, a TV series featuring doctors who remedy plastic surgeries that have gone wrong, to find a solution.

Michelle said: "I feel like I ruined her life with it.

"She's not the same person that she was. She was always the most outgoing person you could ever meet.

"The first one to want to go out and have fun.

"And I lost her."

#5 After having corrective surgery Keara, 30, said she felt like a new person, ready to face the world again

Keara had a consultation with Doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif revealed she was suffering from granuloma, a mass of tissue that is produced in response to a foreign substance intruding the body.

During the programme, Paul said: "When granulomas become larger every year that means they are still reactive so some type of inflammatory response is still occurring."

Meanwhile, Terry questioned why "the plastic surgeon allowed his nurse to inject silicone".

Luckily the doctors were able to offer a solution to make Keara's lips even again.

After surgery she was delighted with the result and admitted she felt she could "face the world" once more.
