Identical twins who share everything including a bed and their boyfriend, have vowed they will try and fall pregnant together as well.

Anna and Lucy DeCinque, 30, from Perth, have spent nearly $250,000 on cosmetic enhancements to look more alike - including lip fillers, breast implants, and fake eyebrows and eyelashes.

The pair have both been dating electrical mechanic Ben Byrne, 32, for four years and have claimed they must have children together as their 'bodies need to be the same,' news.com.au reported.

'We would have to be exactly the same even if we went through IVF at the same time,' they said.

Although Lucy and Anna are not ready to get pregnant yet, they said they 'love children and kids love them.'

The twins appeared on SBS's Insight program to discuss how identical twins change and develop as they get older.

According to the program, identical twins share 99.9 per cent of the same DNA and their intellect, sexuality and health can show genetic versus environmental factors.

'If she walks a few metres, I need to walk a few metres because we have to burn the same calories,' Lucy told the program.

'Our diet is identical. Our food has to be identical. The same glass of water we measure. The same size of chip packets we have to measure.'

The pair said they feel as if they 'don't exist' if their sibling is not with them.

From an early age Anna and Lucy were inseparable. The sisters went to the same nursery, primary and secondary schools, before enrolling on a beauty course at college together.

They undertake an extensive joint beauty regime to maintain their appearances. Once a week, Anna and Lucy take advantage of infra-red saunas, microdermabrasion and skin peels to maintain the mirror image. They also follow the same exercise routine and keep an identical diet.

The pair started their own Youtube channel last year and used their videos to explain how they 'feel each other pain and know when each other is sick.'

The duo met Mr Byrne after he added them on Facebook on the suggestion of mutual friends.

'It's my first time with two girlfriends, and to be honest it's very difficult because it has to be 100 per cent even,' Mr Byrne told Woman's Day in July 2014.

'Whatever I do for one I have to do for the other, so it's a fine balance. My mates reckon it's a cool problem to have.'

Lucy said the question they got the most was: 'How does one guy keep up with two girls in the bedroom?'

'Put it this way, we're very active girls and he needs twice the energy,' she said.

The three share a 'super king-sized bed'.

The twins have recently defended their relationship choices on Australian TV show 'A Current Affair', which aired on 10 March.

Speaking about their three-way relationship, they said: "People won't agree to it and it's not natural maybe some will think, but he's happy, we're happy, our family and friends accept it."

The pair said they'd had separate boyfriends in the past, but it hadn't worked because of their closeness. They added that sharing one now "just works".

"Because we're with each other 24/7, every single day, every minute of our life...it's just much easier," they said.

"He's a twin and he understands the bond. He understands we want to be together all the time.

"He never favours one twin, if he kisses me, he'll kiss my sister straight afterwards. There's no jealousy."

They explained that the three of them live together, with their mother.

"He's surrounded by girls," they laughed.

For his part, Ben doesn't seem to have many complaints.

"It's always two versus one, but, on the bright side, I get double the love."

Byrne also told Australia's Woman's Day magazine: "It's my first time with two girlfriends, and to be honest it's very difficult because it has to be 100% even.

"Whatever I do for one I have to do for the other, so it's a fine balance. My mates reckon it's a cool problem to have."

Of their boyfriend's role in their pregnancy plan, the sisters said: "Yeah, he's got a lot of work. He needs twice the energy."

But they said one or the other would consider undertaking IVF in a bid to ensure they were both pregnant at the same time.

However, it is not imperative that their children be born at the same time, or even on the same day, they said.

"[We] just have to be pregnant at the same time," one said.

"Yeah, we just want to be the same in everything," the other added.

"We've become a lot closer since our dad passed away, that was when we were in high school about 10 years ago, but we've always been identical," they told Insight.

"We've always shared everything, but now more so, because we're becoming a lot more older."

The pair met Mr Byrne via Facebook at the suggestion of mutual friends.

"It's funny, he's like the chosen one, they say," the sisters said.

"We met him on Facebook and we started talking to him. We didn't believe he was a twin because guys always say 'oh, I'm a twin, let's date' and we just thought, you know, they were joking all the time.

"So we didn't really give Ben a go for like the first six months [but] we spoke to him every night and there was a trust in it and the first night we met him we kissed him."
