You Will Never Believe How Much Some Of Your Childhood Toys Are Worth Now

Can you believe that it has been 35 years since our beloved My Little Pony and Cabbage Patch toys came to be? In fact, Furbies are getting close to celebrating their own 20th anniversary. Makes you feel old, doesn't it? Well, hang on tight to them Beanie Babies, this is going to be a fun ride through your past.

If you collected state of the art gadgets or snuggly teddy bears, check out these nostalgic dolls and toys and guess how rich you could be if you still had these toys instead of tossing them out when they went out of style. Some of you might be lucky enough to still own some of these. Some could be considered a big retirement nest egg. Do you still have any of these toys from your past? You just might be sitting on a small fortune.

#1 Teddy Ruxpin

Remember this creepy guy with his moving eyes and mouth? You can find him new for around $400 or out of the box for $125.

#2 Lite-Brite

An unopened Lite Brite can be found for around $150 on eBay, but the paper refills go for around $1.15... Wow!

#3 Beanie Babies

We all knew that these would be worth something some day, but if you are lucky enough to still have your very rare Princess Diana, you could retire. The first edition Princess Diana Beanie Baby is worth a whopping $475,000!

#4 American Girl Dolls

These dolls are pretty pricey as it is. There are tons of cheaper knock off versions, but would you believe that the largest American Girl collection, EVER, is being listed on eBay for $25,000. What an investment they could turn out to be.

#5 Pez Dispensers

You have to admit, you loved your little part toy, part candy Pez dispenser as a kid. Did you know that they originated in Austria? This collection here is worth about $8,000.

#6 Barbie

While I bet most of your old Barbie dolls are laying naked and alone in some box up on your attic, the "World" collection of Barbies are worth around $1,500, and if you have the single first edition Barbie in the black and white striped bathing suit, you would be sitting on about $20,000.

#7 Furby

While they still make these annoyingly cute dolls, an original could go for as much as $1,089 on eBay.

#8 Cabbage Patch Kids

These favorites from the 80s go for around $5,000 a piece, so if you were smart enough to keep them in the original packaging, you might have yourself a nice little nest egg or rainy day money.

#9 Strawberry Shortcake Dolls

If you have an original "Mint Tulip" still in her original packaging, she is selling for around $1,000.

#10 Original My Little Ponies

An original My Little Pony in its original packaging is worth a nice little chunk of change. $600

#11 Care Bears

A collection like this one is worth around $5,000 or a slightly bigger collection can be bought for $8,295.

#12 Skip It

I remember working up a sweat with this toy as a kid. This little piece of exercise equipment that is disguised as a toy is selling for $60.

#13 Tamagotchi Pets

An unopened Tamagotchi from 1996 is currently going for a whopping $2,000.

#14 Easy Bake Oven

This 1694 version goes on eBay for $400, or you can pick up the Super Treat Center for around $4,600.

#15 Polly Pocket

The 1995 version of the Fashion Show Polly Pocket, new and in the box, is going for around $700 right now.

#16 Troll Dolls

I remember having a whole little Troll family collection when I was a small child. These were the coolest, yet creepiest, naked, wild haired guys. There are some out there right now that go for around $700.

#17 Hot Wheels

When I was younger, I remember my parents picking these up and putting them up. Since I was a girl, they were not for me to ever play with. Now I know they were saving a little nest egg. There is a set of just 13 going right now for $3,129 and a huge lot of almost 3000 cars going for $8,500.
