A Redditor 'Innundatedwithbros' took it to the 'True Off My Chest' subreddit to share a burden he’s been carrying about a life-threatening situation he got into with his girlfriend.

He told how he got into an armed robbery while walking home drunk after a party.

While the guy was quick to save himself by surrendering, his girlfriend wasn't so smart.

Instead of giving up her possessions she decided to argue with the robber.

It appeared that her possessions were more valuable to her than both their lives, and she even yelled at the OP to 'do something' to save her stuff.

But OP was smart enough and he gave her things to the robber before he pulls the trigger. Instead of being grateful, she was pissed at him for saving their lives.

OP has been through such experiences while growing up and he knows what's the best thing to do in such situations.

He understands losing valuables sucks, but nothing is more valuable than your life. However, his gf didn't think the same.

Now, OP has lost trust in his girlfriend and doesn't think he can spend rest of his life with her after almost losing it because of her.
