How often does a person get lucky enough that they get to pose with a celebrity for their senior year picture and that too with your favorite one! Damaris Fregoso, a 17-year-old student from Newman, California, is making headlines for achieving the impossible.
#1 Senior Year Picture: An Important Part Of Student's Life
Senior year pictures are an important part of a teenagers life probably because these pictures sum up their high school life and plays an important part in making up the memories. We have seen multiple examples of these pictures on social media and one thing that we all can agree on is that there are only a few ideas that really catch the eye.
#2 Posing With A Celebrity?
Well, this teenager here thought of this amazing idea for her senior year pictures. Damaris Fregoso, 17 is a big fan of mystery thriller show "Stranger Things." Her idea? That is to pose with Daniel Harbour, who plays the role of Police officer Jim Hopper in the show, for her senior pictures.
To do so, Fregoso took to Twitter and tweeted Harbour, asking him what it will take to get him to pose with her. "@DavidKHarbour how many retweets for you take my senior photos with me."
#3 Surprise!
Lucky her, Harbour took notice of Fregoso's tweet in what must be a flood of tweets. Replying to her innocent request, Harbour laid out his simple requests that are 25,000 retweets, plus he wanted to wear Fregoso’s school sweatshirt and hold a trombone.
It seems like Harbour was underestimating the power of social media and guess what? The 42-year was in for a big surprise.
#4 Achieving The Impossible
Having said that, Fregoso's tweet went viral and it was retweeted even more than 25,000 times. Surprised at the power of Internet Harbour replied, "Holy hell, internet. How can you be in favor of this? Friends don’t lie." Keeping his promise, Harbour asked Fregoso to message him privately to arrange the photo shoot.
Needless to say, we already know who will win the award for the most amazing entry in the yearbook. Fregoso posted a number of pictures on Twitter and Instagram. She later wrote on Instagram "Well this is certainly something I didn’t think would actually happen! David is such a sweet dude!"
#5 Even The Photographer Was Surprised With The Story
Talking to Fresno Bee, Fregoso expressed her disbelief on getting a photo shoot with David Harbour. "Literally I still can’t believe it. I never thought that David would have ever tweeted me back. I’m still shocked for the most part. It’s crazy to think this happened because of retweets."
Even the photographer behind the photoshoot was amused by the whole story and Tommy Garcia wrote on his social media account, "I don’t always take senior portraits, but when I do, it’s because @postydamaris gets 25k+ retweets and @DavidKHarbour agrees to take them with her as long as he is allowed to hold a trombone. 😂"
