#1 Gilles de Rais

Gilles de Montmorency-Laval, Baron de Rais, was a knight and lord from Brittany, Anjou and Poitou, a leader in the French army, and a companion-in-arms of Joan of Arc. He used to ask his servants to hunt down the young victims. He used to torcher them to death and took delight in the pain. He was ultimately caught and executed.

#2 Phalaris

Phalaris ruled Acragas in Sicily. He used a device called Brazen Bull for torturing the people to death. Brazen Bull was a hollow brass statue in which the victims were sealed, their tongues cut out first. The victim was then burned to death by lighting a fire around the bull. As the victim succumbed to the searing heat inside, he would thrash about and scream in agony. The movements and sounds, muted by the bull's mass, made the apparatus appear alive, the sounds inside like those of a real bull.

#3 Vlad The Impaler

It is said this crazy man also known as the Dracula or the Vlad, the impaler killed somewhat 40,000 to 100,000 people. He'd kill the children and feed them to their mothers and killed the mothers and fed them to the husband. He finally killed the husbands through impaling them.

King Henry VIII chopped two of his eight wives' heads. What kind of a crazy person does that? He divorced two wived, chopped off two of his wives' heads, one died and one outlived him.

This woman was a Hungarian Countess. She killed young girls in extremely disturbing ways. Since she came from a noble family, Báthory's crimes were long ignored until she started kidnapped and killing daughters of noble families. The highest cited count of her victims is 650, which is why Guinness World Records has crowned her as the most prolific female murderer.

Pope Damascus I actually raised fund through selling women and children as sex slaves. Pope Benedict IX committed murders and was involved in adultery. HE was pushed out of his position but he murdered Pope Damascus II to got his title back.

Pope Pius IX is said to have some connection with the murder of Abraham Lincoln.

Caligula ruled the Roman empire around 2000 years ago. He claimed himself as God and let people worship him. He murdered people for delight and slept with married women. He wasted so much money of the state that people started dying out of starvation.

He was stabbed 30 times and died like a normal person would when he's not a God!

Jidong was a city in China from 144 121 BC. This crazy king ruled that city. He'd go out every night and hunt down his own people just for fun. People got so afraid, they stopped leaving their houses at night for their king might hunt them down! The King was not punished to death but exiled after the news reached the emperor who happened to be his cousin.

Empress Wu Zetian ruled China about 2000 years ago. Some documents say that she was basically the Beyonce of ruling China, but those documents may have been paid for by her because apparently people have been paying for good press for thousands of years now.

Some other documents show that she also was one of those cruel hearted murderers who went to all extents to keep their throne. She destroyed fifteen family lines and anyone who had the slightest claim to the throne.

He is perhaps the the cruelest killer of history. He is said to have killed around 5 to 6 million Jews who lived in Europe. He was the master mind but he ordered his people to do so, who played a major role in the success of mass killing at such a great scale. Karl-Otto Koch was the first commander of several concentration camps. During his command, he could steal valuables and money from the murdered, making quite a little fortune while participating in the genocide.
