#1. Tales from the Crypt

Does anyone remember the american horror series that aired on HBO in the early 90's? This show was a rare mix of horror and comedy and that is what made it interesting. This show was based on a gruesome EC comic series. Each episode begins with a tracking shot leading to the front door of the Crypt Keeper's decrepit mansion. Once inside, the camera pans down hallways and stairways, and finally descends into the basement.Episodes ended with a conclusion from the gatekeeper, usually capped off with another corny joke and his trademark wild cackle. Given the current popularity of American Horror Story, a Tales from the Crypt reboot might be welcomed by many.

#2. Remington Steele

Of all the man-woman detective adversaries that came up in the '80s - and yes, I'm including the "Moonlighting" team - Remington Steele was the best, the best written, the best acted, with the best chemistry. It was the show that made Pierce Brosnan a viable contender for James Bond it's also the show that stopped Pierce Brosnan from playing Bond back in the late 80s. Running from 1982-1987, Remington Steele combined confident tricksters, crime solving, comedy, and a post-Backlash feminism to create a show that, while not exactly the last word in television quality, was great fun in its own right.

So why the remake? In my opinion the storyline of this show can be developed and expanded and it's perfectly possible to do something new and interesting with this classic show.

#3. Perfect Strangers

This is one of the comic show that cannot be forgotten easily due to its very hilarious situations and those witty comebacks between the two leads.Perfect Strangers is a classic buddy comedy. Larry Appleton is an aspiring photographer living in Chicago and his distant cousin, Balki Bartokomous, comes to live with him. As you likely can tell by his name, Balki isn't from around here. He hails from the eastern Mediterranean island of Mypos where he works as a shepherd and knows nothing of American life. The contrasting dynamics between Larry and Balki leads to some awkward and hilarious situations as Larry endeavors to help his cousin adjust to life in the US.

It was a truly memorable sit-com and its reboot would definitely be worth all the effort.

#4. Dark Shadows

The rich Collins family of Collinsport, Maine is tormented by strange occurrences.1795- "I set a curse on you Barnabas Collins-" 1967- Dark Shadows, after being on for less than one year was on the verge of being thrown into oblivion, forgotten and lost forever, along with a 172 year old family secret. Then quite by accident, a vampire was released from his coffin and Television history was made!

Though a futile attempt has been made for its remake starring Johny Depp as Barnabas but with current popularity of Gothic-themed television shows another try for its reboot would be worth a shot in my opinion.

#5. Night Court

An eccentric fun-loving judge presides over an urban night court and all the silliness going on there.Night Court" was one of the more bizarre shows to come along. The only time I've ever seen a show that featured a lot of slapstick and raunchy gags, unlike any other sitcoms. The cases handled by the court always featured weird or inept defendants and complainants, and some of the cases were just downright ridiculous such as one where Wile E. Coyote was put on trial for constantly harassing the Road Runner.

With all the legal dramas on TV today, a Night Court reboot could be a great contrast to what's already out there.

#6. Sliders

If you are a fan of science fiction then this is what you really need to see.Although the show did not get immense hit but has a tremendous cult following the show did not diminish until well after 5 seasons.

Sliders is about a young scientific genius, Quinn Mallory, who creates a device that makes an inter dimensional portal. After stepping through the portal into another world. This genius boy and his comrades travel to different parallel universes, trying to find their way back home.

A show like this has potential to go on forever. It is only limited by the writers' imaginations to come up with new alternate worlds, so Sliders could be a fairly easy show to reboot.

#7. Murder She Wrote

Professional writer and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher uses her intellect, charm, and persistence to get to the bottom of every crime she encounters.

A reboot of this show was attempted by NBC but they quit in 2014.I have no idea why they have given up on this classical show. After all, given the number of murders that took place on the show and Cabot Cove's low population, it has a higher murder rate than even El Salvador, the murder capital of the world, so it's safe to say that this sleepy little town has seen enough bloodshed. Maybe "she" could "write murder" somewhere else instead?

#8. Family Matters

This was one of the most perfect shows that have been aired. Nothing too sappy and annoying with the right amount of humor. It was as show about a black family in Chicago, IL, and its 215 episode run made one of the second longest running shows to feature a mostly black cast. The number one spot for that claim to fame belongs to The Jeffersons.

If Family Matters came back, a successful reboot would depend on casting the right person to play the new Urkel and it can definitely make it to the top again!

#9. In Living Colour

Amongst the many sketch comedy shows of recent years, "In Living Color" stands out as one of the best. In it's first three seasons, it was unbeatable. In Living Colour was edgy, self aware, and hilarious. It brought black actors into the spotlight in a time long before minority representation was such a hot button issue. Rebooting this show would go a long way in giving black actors, and other minority actors, a place to shine on our television screens. And besides, who wouldn't want to see Homey the Clown whack people over the head and shout "Homey don't play dat!" again?

#10. The Golden Girls

Four previously married women live together in Miami, sharing their various experiences together and enjoying themselves despite hard times.

Golden Girls was highly addictive, and it would definitely be given a warm welcome if it returned to our television screens. Sadly though, only one member of the original cast is still alive today. You've probably heard of her: it's the eternally spunky Betty White! If Golden Girls came back in a reboot, we'd love to see Mrs. White involved somehow.

#11. Moonlighting

Moonlighting made Bruce Willis a household name and reinvigorated Cybill Shepherd's flagging career. Despite only running for 66 episodes, it was one of the biggest hits of the 1980s, blending drama, comedy, mystery, and a will they/won't they romance that remains a model for TV shows of today.

Like Remington Steele, Moonlighting offers many opportunities for a contemporary remake. The battle of the sexes motif might be a trifle outdated (it was in the 1980s, too), but the chemistry can still work with the right stars. What's more, a new Moonlighting might provide a bit of respite from the darker than dark police procedurals and detective shows that now litter television. Solving crime could even be fun again!

#12. Freaks and Geeks

This show is no doubt the best and the most entertaining show to be aired in the history and gave a new meaning to television and introduced wonderful and funny characters. The cast is perfect and the writing and acting is so great, there was nothing wrong with the show, in fact it was about 10 times better than some stupid sitcoms still on TV (some not all). Bill Haverchuck, played by Martin Starr is probably my favorite character because he was a interesting and funny character. The only problem was that NBC didn't give Freaks and Geeks a decent time slot. It was so unfair.
