Just coming out and asking the Internet something is a great way to mine humanity's brain, like what foreigners think of America, the worst things that have happened to people during sex, the scariest 2-sentence stories people can write, and what people do in private—but now we shall take a tear-filled trip down memory lane, as people have shared the most heartbreaking memories they have from TV. It is the Internet, so the responses were mostly from the Eighties onwards. Many were finale episodes, but interestingly, most were comedies. Warning: many feels ahead. There were many moments on this list, but one was the breakaway winner. As it happens, it was a Thanksgiving:

[Editor's Note: None of the commentators gave a good summary, so, TL;DR Earl Sinclair was put in charge of clearing the wax fruit forests by the WeSaySo corporation, and in the process, killed off all but one of a very important beetle species. All plant life died. Dinokind then put nukes in volcanoes on the theory that nukes make clouds and clouds make rain.]
