Our world is full of strange looking creatures. Some of them don't even look like they belong to this planet. Perhaps Earth is actually full of creatures from space that have come down and tried to blend in to our habitats, gathering information before returning to their planet and forming a battle plan to invade.
...or perhaps we just are so used to seeing the animals we see daily that anything else looks weird.
#1 Harp Sponge
It looks more like a decoration than a living creature. Hiding in pain sight...just like an alien would.
#2 Kuhfisch
Practicing the Blue Steel pose from Zoolander.
#3 Markhor
HOW DO THEY GROW LIKE THAT?!
#4 Barreleye Fish
...are we SURE this one actually originated from our planet? I'm not convinced.
#5 Long-wattled Umbrellabird
Well, it turns out Elvis isn't dead. He just turned into a bird.
#6 Roughback Batfish
He is NOT impressed.
#7 Sarcastic Fringehead
OMG! The Predator, anyone?
#8 Tounge-eating Louse
You know what this creepy thing reminds me of? Remember that scene from Men In Black when the dead guy's face pops open and then you realize that there is a tiny little alien controlling the man from the inside? ....right?
#9 Snub-Nosed Monkey
Can you say botched plastic surgery?
#10 Glass Frog
You can see right through it! How crazy is that?!
#11 Big Skate
This thing looks like it would come to earth and pretend to be all friendly and peace keeping...AND THEN TAKE OVER THE PLANET.
#12 Elephant nose fish
What the?? Is that a giant hole on it's face?
#13 Goblin Shark
Nightmares. So many nightmares.
#14 Aye-aye
This looks like the spawn of a demon and a monkey.
#15 Dumbo Octopus
On the other end of the spectrum...isn't this thing just darling?
#16 The Blobfish
I am so repulsed by this. Like...I can't even look at it for too long because it churns my stomach.
