Giuseppe D'anna, 19, duped the internet into beleivng that he is dating his 76-year-old grandmother as part of a hoax in which the teenager went as far as telling the world that she is pregnant.

D'anna has shared numerous videos to his 3.1 million TikTok followers suggesting Milina Gatta was his girlfriend.

Earlier this month, he also left his 80,000 Instagram fans horrified when he claimed he was expecting a baby with Ms Gatta, who is 57 years his senior.

But it seems like he was holding secrets regarding their relationship.

The Italian teenager told the JamPress news agency that the entire relationship is false, and the claims were simply a rouse to gain popularity online.

'Yes, Milina is my grandmother,' he confirmed.

Mr D'anna and his grandmother first went viral last May when they shared details of an alleged relationship online, and later claimed they were engaged.

After sharing these details - and that of an alleged pregnancy - the teenager's followers started to see holes in his story, with some claiming it is 'impossible'.

'It's impossible to get pregnant when granny has hit her menopausal stage,' one viewer said.

Another added: 'She's old enough to be your greatest grandma.'

This clip captured Mr D'anna showing off gifts he had received from his 'girlfriend'.

These included Versace shoes and a sports car, and the teen claimed they were from his 76-year-old partner.

Even though the internet was left largely confused, but many firmly beleived that it was all fake.

One person said: 'Woop woop. That's the sound of the police.'

Others praised Mr D'anna for his financial savvy, writing: 'If it gives you a profit, go for it.'

'Bro, I thought it was your grandma,' said a third.

Some viewers even came out in support of the so-called relationship, after photographs emerged of an alleged proposal and even a sonogram.

'It's a happy couple, and they're not going to waste time explaining something that most people don't understand,' one person said.
