A young man from Florida has hit a major jackpot of $450 million after winning a lottery ticket. Shane Missler's initial response on Facebook was, "Oh.My.God." Missler shared the life-changing news with his father the next day over coffee. With the money, Missler now hopes to do good for humanity, help his family and figure out his future.
Shane Missler, 20, from Florida has come forward as the sole winner of Mega Millions jackpot worth of $450 million. According to Florida Lottery, Missler picked up his prize in a one time, lump sum payment in the amount of $281,874,999.00. It was a quick pick ticket.
Missler has revealed he wants to use the money for a good cause and after quitting his job he would like to serve humanity and help his family.
Missler's initial response on social media was, "Oh. My. God." His lawyer has confirmed that the young man has won the fourth largest Mega Million jackpot in the history. After receiving his prize, Missler has retired from his job st a background screening company.
The record Mega Millions jackpot stands at $650 million, won back in March 2012.
Talking about his future plans, the overnight turned millionaire whose worth now matches with that of Taylor Swift, said, "I’m only 20, but I hope to use it to pursue a variety of passions, help my family and do some good for humanity." Missler says he had a positive hunch that he is going to win the lottery. Believing so he bought the ticket a 7-Eleven newsagent in Port Richey.
Giving credit to his positive thinking, Missler says, "If there is one thing I have learned thus far in my short time on Earth it is that those who maintain a positive mindset and stay true to themselves get rewarded. I intend to take care of my family, have some fun along the way and cement a path for financial success so that I can leave a legacy far into the future."
Having done a crash course in financial management, he says, "fortunate to have this incredible wealth."
Day later, Missler posted, "The power of positive thinking should not be underestimated! This is only the beginning. I am truly grateful and most appreciative."
