#1 At a McDonald's drive-thru in Florida on Wednesday 250 people decided to pay it forward.
#2 It all started with Torie Keene, a local reporter, who, while paying for her meal, told cashier Marisabel Figueroa that she wanted to pay for the car behind her.

#3 Figueroa says the person in that car was touched and decided to do the same for the car behind her and on and on it went. One woman even paid for the meals of three cars in the queue behind her.
#4 Staff were stunned by the generosity and Figueroa said she'd never seen anything like it in the 12 years she has worked at McDonald's. They thought it would end quickly but the people just kept paying it forward.

#4 Figueroa said after the 15th car she started to tally the number of people that were participating on a piece of paper. She said the chain almost lasted her entire shift, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

#7 The chain finally came to an end when the baffled 250th customer arrived at the check-out window. "She was speechless," the cashier tells reporters. "She said, 'What do I do?' and then she drove off, and it stopped right there."

#6 After a local news station reported the story, Figueroa was contacted by Keene via Facebook. She said she was happy her pay-it-forward became a chain but that all she was trying to do was “brighten someone’s day,”
This lengthy pay-it-forward chain isn't the first to hit a fast food drive-thru this year. In July, 215 customers participated in a chain at a Georgia-based Chick-fil-A. Starbucks is also known to inspire the spirit of giving in its customers. In December 2013, some 1,468 customers at a drive-thru Starbucks participated in a Christmas Eve pay-it-forward chain.
It made the staff happy and it pleased all involved to give a little something back to their fellow man.
