For as long as mankind's been around, humans have been predicting exactly when we’re all going to die. The “Millennium Apocalypse” panic had many convinced the Earth would end on January 1, 1000, perhaps due to Y1K stone tablet glitches. London astrologers (note, NOT astronomers) predicted a worldwide flood for February 1, 1524, causing many English to head off to higher pubs. And we all remember how the planet ceased to be on December 21, 2012, according to the Mayan Apocalypse at the end of the 13th b’ak’tun, either due to an asteroid, alien invasion, supernova, or failure to renew our planet license. The point is, time and again people have assumed the worst, leading many to still make the following recent and ridiculous predictions.
#1 March 10, 1982
Prediction: This book predicted that when all the planets aligned a gravitational force would destroy the Earth's crust and cause untold catastrophes.
But, nothing happened as the date passed.
#2 April 29, 1986
Leland Jansen predicted that Halley's Comet would pass through Earth's atmosphere and as a result, cause hazardous Earthquakes that the Earth couldn't withstand.
But, nothing happened.
#3 April 23, 1990
Changing her surname to Prophet, Elizabeth Clare claimed that God told her about a war that could occur on this date. She tried to make a strategy to survive in that chaotic situation but, her prediction was wrong, and nothing happened on that date.
#4 October 21, 2011
Harold Egbert Camping predicted that there would be fire and plagues for months and as a result, it will destroy the Earth. But his prediction about the judgement day was wrong.
#5 August 23, 2013
Rasputin predicted that the world would be immersed into hell-fire. Still we are living in 2016 as it seemed to be another wrong prediction.
