Rule #1 – Refer to them as your royal highness.

Don't forget your manners in the heat of the moment. You can't just yell "Hey Will how's it going?!"

It's rude to call them anything else

Rule #2 – You can call them sir or ma'am after your initial introduction.

Don't worry, you don't have to continuously call them your royal highness throughout the entire conversation.

Just ask Beyoncé if you forget.

Rule #3 – Absolutely no selfies.

We all know how much the Queen hates selfies, but this isn't the reason why

The reasoning behind this rule is actually an issue with time.

Taking selfies takes a while and Prince William and Kate would like to meet as many people as possible on their trip.

Rule #4 – No personal photos at all.

This one is in reference to the people who get invited to meet the Prince and his wife directly.

Nobody likes a camera in their face all the time anyway.

Rule #5 – Photographs taken in a respectable manner are allowed.

Don't worry, you can still snag a pic of the royals, as long as they know you're taking it and say it's okay.

Rule #6 – No hats after 6:30 p.m.

You don't HAVE to wear a hat, but if you do, you better take it off before 6:30 p.m.

Rule #7 – Only shake their hands if they offer to do so.

A handshake is acceptable so long as the member of the Royal Family offers his/her hand to you. Otherwise a curtsy is the appropriate way to acknowledge them.

The appropriate way to curtsy depends on your gender.

The correct way for a man to curtsy is to bow their head from the neck up. For women, the right foot is placed behind the left heel, and the knees bent slightly.

It's a lot to remember, but don't worry – Kate and William are both super nice!
