As kids, we rarely understand the things our parents do. Especially our moms. Then we have kids of our own and the cycle starts all over again with reversed roles. You know when you say you're going to your room to study with the hot girl from your class and your mom says "Okay sweety" yet you know what that really means. It means she is going to pop in and check on you 80 times every 5 minutes to ask you if you or she want a snack. Seriously mom, stop cramping my style.

#2 Exposing Your Real Age.

Baby pictures are the pride and joy of moms all around the world. Moms love to show off those pictures. The problem with this is if she shares something that is obviously ancient you are now outed as an old person. Gee thanks, mom!

#3 That Look! You Know The One.

Every mom has that stare. You know the one. When she looks at you in such a way that you just know you have disappointed her to no ends and she is going to deal with you. Don't let her give you that look while you're out in public. If you've got the right mom she will embarrass you like only a mom can.

#4 Crushing All Of Your Dreams!

Moms just love to bring us back down to earth. They cause endless "ugh" moments with their dream crushing ways. Why can't we just live in our little fantasy world? Why must you destroy our happiness? Their slogan should be "Moms: Destroying Hopes And Dreams Since Forever!"

We have covered this before. Moms just know how to embarrass their kids. It's a built in skill. So when you combine mom with social media you have a perfect storm of embarrassment that you will never live down. Welcome to the entire internet knowing just how lame you are.

#6 Curfews Are Serious Business!

When you're a little kid typically the street light is your signal that it's time to come inside. Once you hit the teenage years you think that ridiculous curfew is going to end. Well, think again. Yes, she might extend it by a little bit but if you're not home when she says you need to be home then you should expect major grounding and going to bed hungry that night.

#7 Drugs Are Bad Mmm'kay.

Overreacting is the special super power of all moms. EVERYTHING is a chance for your mom to overreact. That includes your first experience with less than hardcore drugs. Especially pot. Most moms will be convinced that pot will kill you even though research says otherwise. She plays a mean game of fear monger and you don't have much of a chance at winning.

#8 Moms Personalities Are Like Night And Day

One minute you think you are having a conversation with friendly mom then bam, crazy mom takes control. You will never have any idea which mom might be in charge at any moment so it's best to be cautious. Very cautious.
