A guy in Germany was dressed up as a Santa Claus. He didn’t know that he was covid positive and was trying to spread the joy of Christmas. He visited aged care where unfortunately he spread covid 19 to the elderly people.
A total of 75 people were affected by covid 19 there
The Saint Nick impersonator visited the Hemelrijck aged care home in the Belgian town of Mol and afterward, some people were reported as covid positive. There were around 75 people who got affected including 14 staff members.
Second wave of covid 19 strike hard in Belgium

The mayor of Mol, Wim Caeyers, informed the Belgian news agency VRT News that it was a very dark day for the care home," noting that in the coming week all hands will be on deck."
At the beginning it was mandatory to wear masks but later rules were not followed
There was strictness at one point and the staff and residents needed to wear masks but at some point, rules were not followed.

"It was made with the best intentions, but it went wrong. It has been a very dark day for the care home. It is a very great mental strain to bear for the man that played Saint Nicholas, as well as for the organizers and the staff," Mayor Caeyers said.
Concerned authorities are trying hard to take control of the situation
"Initially they said that the rules had been followed, but then straight away you receive photos from the families of residents where you can see that this wasn't the case."
However, mild to moderate symptoms had been seen so far in those people who are affected. Concerned authorities are trying their best to take control of the situation.
