#2 She Noticed A Man At A Gas Station Crying
As she pulled up to the gas station to fill up her tank, she noticed something strange. The man at the pump across from her was crying. She took a closer look and realized this guy was wearing sandals and socks in 10 degree weather. He was clearly shivering. Looking across at his car, she saw his wife with her hands in her face and his two teenage daughters huddled together in the back seat for warmth. She knew she had to help.
#3 She Paid For His Gas
Without a second thought, she went over to him. He explained his situation, and broke down. "I can't even provide for my own family" he said, sobbing. She immediately put her card in the machine at his pump and paid for him to fill up his tank.
#4 She Told Him Jesus Christ Was Watching Over Him
While she payed for his gas, she told him, "Jesus Christ the Son of God died to provide for you. Fill up. Something, something came alive in him. He was taken aback by this amazing act of kindness by this complete stranger. It was almost as if he forgot to pump gas, it was like something had come over him.
#5 Then She Did Something Truly Amazing
The fact that she paid for this family's gas is pretty amazing in itself, but she didn't just stop there. As his wife came out of the car to see what was going on, this kind girl noticed that the woman's pants were dirty and torn. This girl knew she had to do something. She took his wife to her car and opened the trunk. Laying there was a whole wardrobe's worth of unwanted clothes that this girl was about to give away. "Take whatever you want," she said.
#6 Other People Joined In
By this time, a small crowd had gathered around the family. Other people saw what was going on and they too began to offer whatever they could to help. One man handed over his jacket to the freezing father. Another couple gave the family a gift card.
#7 "It Gives Me Hope."
We always hear about the dark side of humanity, but events like these remind us that the human race is truly amazing. We have the potential to be so much more that what we are now. We just have to show a little compassion to each other.
