A Pitbull puppy named Jake was only few weeks old when he found himself trapped in a burning building. He was saved by a local firefighter Bill Lindler, the pup suffered burns to 75% of his body, including his paw pads. Surrounded by loving people at the Hanahan Fire Department, Jake recovered quickly. He has become the official mascot of the Fire Department and now goes to schools to help kids learn about fire safety and what to do on emergencies.

Jake was only few weeks old when he found himself trapped in a burning building
Jake suffered a 2nd and 3rd degree burns that covered more than 75 percent of his body, including his paw pads

He was saved by a local firefighter named Bill Lindler
Unfortunately two days after the fire, Jake was abandoned at the vet.
"I contacted the vet and the vet informed me thatthe owner was abandoned him because they can't afford to pay for his care" said Lindler

Lindler and his family decided to adopt Jake

Afterwards, he became an official member of the Fire Department!
