Wise men have said…’Don’t judge a book by its cover.’

Appearance is no basis to judge someone…And this picture does describe it pefectly.

But sadly, the world doesn’t learn…

It is very unfortunate, but it is just the way it is in our world.

Take a biker, for example.

Many people would just jump to conclusions about him simply by looking at him.

They would think of him to be a ‘bad' and ‘dirty' person.

Biker and dad, Luc Perrault also faced such stereotyping.

He was at a coffee shop, where a little girl started talking to him. Being who he is, he too started a sweet conversation with her. But suddenly, her mother swooped in, telling the little girl not to talk to the ‘dirty' biker.

Luc took to Facebook to respond to the incident…”To the family in the red SUV at Tim Horton’s today…” he started.

Talking about himself

"Yes I am a big 280 lbs. guy with motorcycles and full of tattoos. I am a welder, I am loud, I drink beer, I swear, and I look like I would eat your soul if you stare at me wrong."

But there’s so much that you don’t know about him…

"What you don't know is that I have been happily married for 11 years, my kids call me daddy, I am a college graduate"

He's a big softy.

My mother is proud of me and tells everyone how lucky she is to have such a wonderful son, my nieces and nephews are always happy to see their uncle Luc

When my daughter broke her arm, I cried more than she did."

There’s a lot more to a person than just looks…

"I read books, I help people, I go out of my way to thank war veterans and I even cried at Armageddon"

"So next time I smile and say hi to your little girl and you grab her and tell her, ‘No no dear, we don't talk to dirty bikers"

He gets down to the point.

"So, don't judge a person on the basis of just looks!"

"Remember that even tho you hurt my feelings, this ‘dirty biker' would be the first person to run into your burning house to save your little girl's goldfish so she wouldn't be sad!" L.P.

The world we live in is far from perfect. And a lot of the imperfection stems from the kind of people we see in our societies. There are the hypocrites, the ones with judgy eyes, the ones who think they deserve some sort of royal treatment from the other ‘puny' beings, and the list just goes on and on. And of all these sinister attitudes that are imbibed in the people we see around us, one trait is to judge other people solely on the basis of their looks, without taking into account the fact that there's depth to them too. Something of this sort was faced by biker and dad, Luc Perrault, at a coffee shop, and his heartfelt response to the incident that he shared on Facebook teaches all of us a valuable lesson.
