A young woman and her mother decided to visit a brand new grocery store that was opening in their town. While they were waiting to go inside, a man walked up to the mother and handed her an envelope. On it, it only said "open me. "

Inside was a handwritten note that read:

"This is a random act of kindness. Doesn't need to be repaid, but carry on an act of kindness. This was mine. What is yours?" At the bottom, it was signed, "John."

Tucked inside the note were three bills, totaling £50 (about $71 US).

When they looked up to thank the man, it was too late. He was already across the parking lot leaving. They were left shocked by his random act. Although he probably just picked the first person he saw, the mother and daughter were more affected by his gesture than he will ever know.
