Jennifer Aniston has opened up in the past about her struggles with fertility and the meaningful yearly gesture from her close friend Adam Sandler.
Jennifer Aniston receives flowers from her longtime friend and fellow actor Adam Sandler every single year on the same day — and the reason behind it is both emotional and heartfelt.
The pair first met back in the 1990s at Jerry’s Deli in Los Angeles, where they struck up a friendship that has lasted for decades. Since then, they’ve gone on to share the screen in multiple projects, including Just Go with It, Murder Mystery, and its Netflix sequel released in 2023.
Over the years, their playful chemistry and strong off-screen bond have made them one of Hollywood’s favorite friendships. But behind the laughs, there’s a deeper connection that has touched fans around the world.
In a 2023 interview with The Wall Street Journal, Aniston, now 56, revealed that Sandler, 59, sends her a bouquet of flowers every Mother’s Day — a small but meaningful gesture that carries deep emotional significance.
For Aniston, that day can be bittersweet. She has been open in the past about her experience with fertility struggles and the difficult road she faced while trying to become a mother.
Speaking previously with Allure, the Friends star explained that during her 30s and 40s, she tried IVF treatments and several alternative methods, all in the hopes of conceiving, but nothing worked out as she had wished.

"All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it," she shared.
"I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You just don't think it."
She described the journey as exhausting and emotionally draining, explaining how it took a toll on her both physically and mentally before she eventually came to terms with the outcome.
"The ship has sailed. I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, 'Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe'. I don't have to think about that anymore."
To honor her strength and show his continued support, Sandler — who has two children with his wife, Jackie — sends her flowers every year on Mother’s Day. The gesture has become a touching symbol of their friendship and understanding.
Despite public speculation over the years, Aniston has made it clear that her previous marriages to Brad Pitt and later Justin Theroux did not end because of her fertility challenges or decision not to have children.

"God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn't give him a kid. It was absolute lies."
In a later interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, she expanded on her frustrations with the false narratives, adding: "[The media] didn't know my story, or what I'd been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family, because I don't go out there and tell them my medical woes."
During an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman, Aniston also spoke openly about her choice not to adopt, explaining that she had made peace with her decision and what it meant for her life.

"When people say, 'But you can adopt', I don't want to adopt. I want my own DNA in a little person. " That, she said, has always been the way she felt — that if she were to become a mother, she wanted the child to share her DNA. ""
Recently, Aniston’s name came up again in connection to another of Sandler’s closest friends, Drew Barrymore, who revealed that the three of them have discussed working on a future film together.
Barrymore, now 50, previously appeared alongside Aniston in He’s Just Not That Into You (2009), while she and Sandler have co-starred in several beloved rom-coms including The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended.
Speaking on her talk show, Barrymore said: "We've batted around some ideas."
"As a joke, we say we'll make the Three's Company movie, but I'm really bullish on Death Becomes Her, a remake of that."
The original Death Becomes Her film, released in 1992, starred Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Isabella Rossellini, and Bruce Willis, and remains a dark comedy classic loved by fans to this day.
The cult-favorite film has since been reimagined as a Broadway musical adaptation featuring Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, and Christopher Sieber, continuing to prove that the story’s sharp humor and rivalry still captivate audiences decades later.
