Adorable Little Dog Pack Who Was Hiding Inside Of Tire Finally Gets Noticed

Trying to escape the harsh sun, three tiny dogs found solace snuggled together inside the tire.

Given their vulnerable situation in such an isolated spot during extreme heat, their survival seemed uncertain.

Yet, fortune was on their side when a passerby noticed them and reached out for assistance.

Help Is On The Way

It was a man, who had inadvertently taken a wrong turn, that first spotted a disheveled white Terrier amidst a pile of refuse.

Realizing the dire conditions, he contacted Faith Easdale, a dedicated dog rescuer from Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue in Muscoy, to help the stranded pups.

For Faith, receiving calls about dogs in distress was a common occurrence.

"We do this all the time. We see dogs dumped in underpasses, fields, canyons, freeways, you name it - and that area is one of the worst.

"Hardly anyone would go there or even see these dogs, and even if they had seen them, they would have kept on going.

"They just don't care. It's an everyday occurrence," Faith shared with The Dodo.

She immediately reached out to Cassandra Aldridge, a fellow rescuer, to check on the dogs.

Arriving at the location, Cassandra found not just the one dog, but two more faces peering up at her from inside the tire.

The dogs were too weak and dehydrated to leave their makeshift shelter on their own.

Cassandra, understanding the urgency, carefully moved the entire tire into her car's back seat to transport them to safety.

Though it was unclear how long the dogs had been exposed to the elements, their relief at feeling the car's air conditioning was palpable.

When Faith arrived, she found the dogs hiding in the back seat, coaxing them out with gentle care.

Eventually, she was able to comfort the frightened puppies, wrapping them in blankets and offering them water, which they eagerly drank.

"I stroked their heads and let them know that they were OK, and then I put [them] one by one in a crate.

"They just were so lethargic that they didn't even want to run. But they were all so happy to be in that crate huddled together," Faith recounted.

Faith's heart was touched when she saw the white dog placing her paws protectively over a black one, who seemed to have recently given birth.

At The Vet

They were promptly taken to a veterinary clinic for a comprehensive check-up and hydration treatment.

Needing names for their records, the rescue team whimsically chose tire brands - Michelin, Pirelli, and Kumho.

Despite their flea and tick infestations and missing patches of fur, the trio was elated to finally be in safe hands.

They were undoubtedly even more joyful after receiving medical treatments, including spaying, neutering, dental cleanings, and grooming.

"Pirelli and Kumho were both lactating, meaning they were still producing milk for puppies that were hopefully old enough to be weaned; Michelin was shut down and protective and is opening up as the days go by. The girls are so loving and seem to feel like royalty with their new 'dos. Michelin is still too proud to wiggle his tail but we can see the light coming back to his eyes," Hedy Alison of Camino Pet Hospital reported.

Following their recovery and receiving vaccinations and microchips, the dogs were placed in foster care to continue their healing journey.

Forever Home

Michelin was the first of the trio to find a forever home, a development that thrilled Faith, who had been particularly concerned for his well-being.

"This tire baby was the one I was worried might not even survive the transport to the hospital."

"He seemed the most broken! He wouldn't take the water offered and I knew we had to HURRY to get him help!"

"Thankfully he recovered and was given that second chance! Just look how amazing he looks now."

"And he has a brand-new mama who will give him tons of attention," Faith celebrated in a Facebook update.
