#2 He went into his parents' room while moving things out of the house...

#3 ...and then he walked into the closet where he used to play as a child.

The only problem? Where there used to be a wall, there was now a door.

#4 His parents must have uncovered the door during renovations, but they hadn't mentioned it to him.

He said on Reddit that he had no idea where the doors went.
