After 14 Failed Adoption, This Dog Finally Finds A Home He Was Waiting For

Some prospective owners thought Ronald was too large, others were concerned about having him around small children, and a few couldn't even articulate why they didn't want this gentle giant as their pet.

Ronald had his heart broken so many times, he lost count.

Yet, Ronald never lost all hope. He kept wishing for a family that would see his worth and offer him a loving life.

When the SPCA of Wake County, North Carolina, listed Ronald on their website, there was a palpable sense that something was about to change for the better.

The shelter was overwhelmed with adoption applications for Ronald, to the point where they could accept no more.

His story went viral overnight, shared by over a million people, bringing in awareness and donations to the shelter.

It turns out, the 15th time's the charm for Ronald! His new family happily reported that he was settling in well.

Ronald now has a furry companion, an Aussie Shepherd named Billie. His new family wasn't put off by his size or his past of rejections.

They saw something special in him.

"I for sure thought someone was going to snatch him up quickly, and I wouldn't even have a chance," shared Kiersten Davis, Ronald's new owner.

This North Carolina dog now enjoys everything he ever wished for: a cozy bed, a family full of love, people who value him, and a bright future ahead.
