His name is Jose Antonio, and he used to be an electrician until a bout of depression derailed his life and left him living on the streets.

#2

At the young age of 55 years, Jose had already been homeless for 25 years. His long, scruffy beard and hair are proof of his wayward life.

He had been making a meager living by parking cars at a local lot near a salon owned by Salva Garcia who offered to give Jose a free makeover.

#4

His only request during his transformation is that he not be allowed to see any mirror until the makeover was done, so he could see himself as a new person for the first time and hopefully signify a new door opening in his life.

As they began to work on Jose, they clipped off years and years of neglect and hard living.

#6

They decided to not rid the man completely of his beard. Instead they decided to do a little sculpting and shaping to give Jose a new, improved look.

The stylists also opted to dye his hair to remove all of the gray.

#8

They did not forget the beard either. It is beginning to look like he won't be recognizable as the man that he was prior to this makeover.

#9

Jose starts to get bored as dying his grays is taking longer than expected.

But, once the dye finally took, he looked like a whole new man.

Now, all he needs is a blow dry and a final trim to put the finishing touches on this epic makeover.

#12

They were sure to include some eyebrow sculpting as well.

When Jose finally got to see his new look in the mirror, he could hardly contain himself. He just could not stop smiling.

#14

He had to blink back tears as he was totally overcome with emotion.

"My god, this is incredible," he said. "Is this me? I'm so different, no one's going to recognize me unless I tell them who I am."

They dressed Jose in a clean white shirt and some new pants and shoes and added in some stylish sunglasses before sending him back out to his neighborhood.

Jose got some compliments from women in passing and nobody, including a friend who is a waiter at a local bar near his neighborhood hangouts, recognized him.

Jose looks like a new man now and is looking for proper work, and he is so much happier.

Good Luck, Jose! We are rooting for ya.
