To explore the concept of an ideal partner in various states, Shane Co. conducted a survey involving 2,165 participants, which encompassed women and individuals identifying as LGBTQ+ who have an attraction to men.

The survey encompassed respondents from 44 states and inquired about their preferences regarding the physical characteristics they find most appealing in a male partner. These characteristics ranged from eye color, hair color, hairstyle, personal style, glasses preferences, and even their preferences for tattoos.
Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming were excluded from the survey due to the limited number of participants hailing from these states.
Following the survey, Shane Co. utilized Midjourney, an AI image generator, to generate a visual representation of the ideal partner, much like the digital Pygmalion from Greek mythology.

The survey findings revealed that the perfect boyfriend is characterized by blue eyes, short and curly brown hair, and an outdoorsy personal style. This ideal partner is also described as having no tattoos and not wearing glasses.
Nonetheless, the customized soulmate simulator produced remarkably distinct results depending on the region, emphasizing that attraction is indeed influenced by one's geographical location.

To illustrate, in Wisconsin, the archetype of the perfect man was described as a "hipster" with brown eyes, sporting a brown "man bun," and adorned with numerous tattoos. In contrast, the ideal partner in New Jersey was envisioned as an athletic Adonis with a short "fade" hairstyle and no tattoos.
