Amanda Seyfried Says Channing Tatum Once Peed On Her 'Without Her Knowing' Before Running Off

Amanda Seyfried has made a surprising claim about her former co-star and close friend Channing Tatum, opening up about their behavior while filming Dear John.

The two actors played love interests in the movie adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel. More than a decade later, the romantic drama still holds a special place for fans, especially those who enjoy an emotional story.

Even though the film itself focuses on heartbreak and deep feelings, Seyfried has said that behind the scenes, she and Tatum tried to keep the mood light. She explained that they were constantly trying to “eff with each other” in a playful way to balance out the heavy material they were filming.

Speaking to Deadline about some of her favorite memories from set, The Housemaid actress shared: "I don't know if it's my favorite but it's fun to talk about because it just goes to show the relationship that I had with Channing Tatum in Dear John."

"He and I effed with each other the entire movie in like a super, super fun way. He's very, very funny."

Seyfried then went on to describe one moment in particular when Tatum took the joke much further than expected and actually peed on her during filming.

She recalled: "He peed on my leg once without me knowing. I didn't realize at first and then I was like, 'Oh that's why he's standing so close to me'."

"There was a coffee cup very close by and a little bit got in the cup. He ran away as I was screaming and one of the make-up artists picked it up and was about to drink it — and I saved her."

It is safe to say that the cast did not rely on method acting for Dear John, and instead found other ways to entertain themselves between takes.

Despite the unusual prank, Seyfried has continued to speak highly of Tatum in the years since they worked together and has described him as one of her favorite co-stars.

"Channing and I have a very similar set behavior," told E! News in 2015. "We don't take anything too seriously, but we're shooting a movie that's very heavy, all about love and romance. It's a tear-jerker, so we just like to play around."

Seyfried is not the only actress to experience Tatum’s playful behavior on set. The actor previously admitted that he also pranked Rachel McAdams while filming The Vow.

"I did have a stunt pee pee that I had made for her for her reaction," Tatum told Entertainment Tonight in 2012, referring to a scene where McAdams reacts to her naked co-star walking into their bedroom.

"It was a little prank that I pulled on her. It's in the movie – her reaction was spot on. I didn't have a lot of faith in her reaction because it was cold that day, and I didn't want her to be laughing and pointing. I wanted her to be shocked."
