A bizarre incident happened with a Deerfield Township family.

After a family's package went missing, the family turned to security footage for some answers and what they found was enough for them to be shocked.

Clint Eastman is sharing his story in the hopes that it won't happen to someone else.

He says it's not about the value of what was stolen, but the trust he had in delivery drivers that is now shattered.

Reportedly, Eastman's wife ordered shoes online and received a notification they had been delivered.

But they were unable to find the parcel.

"We were out searching for the package. We're looking in the garage. We don't see anything. I'm like let me go check the cameras," Eastman said.

What the security cameras captured was quite shocking.

Hours after the shoes were delivered, an Amazon delivery driver wearing a blue vest delivers another order.

But instead of delivering a parcel, she was seen picking one from outside their house.

"Fast forward to about 1:30 in the afternoon, we saw an Amazon driver pull in, deliver the package that I did order. Get back in her car. Try to back out of our driveway. Then she got out of her car a second time, removed her amazon vest and took the package that was delivered at 9 in the morning," Eastman said.

The person tasked with delivering orders, caught stealing them.

"I mean, I was just shocked, you know? It's like this person has a job delivering packages and that's the way they make living. But they decide to take advantage of that opportunity and steal something off my porch," Eastman said.

Eastman says he already reported the incident to Amazon Customer Service.

In an email response, customer service apologized for the inconvenience and said a complaint was filed against the driver and necessary action will be taken.

The email went on to say in part, "rest assured that the person will be coached and trained to what an ideal delivery should be."

A response Eastman doesn't find acceptable.

"I know there's hundreds of Amazon drivers out there that take their jobs seriously, so I don't want the highlight to be on this person. I just want them to be held accountable for it," Eastman said.

Eastman says it seems like the driver was outsourced and was not in an Amazon truck.

He has shared all the information with the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Eastman said Amazon did not offer to pay for the stolen items.

However, Nordstrom, where they purchased the shoes, did refund them for the loss.
