It looks like Amber Heard has officially walked away from her career in film.

Following her very public and intense legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, the 39-year-old actress has been focused on building a completely different life for herself away from Hollywood.

She’s now living in Spain and recently became a mom to three children after welcoming twins earlier this year.

In May, Heard took to social media to share the exciting news about her new arrivals. She wrote: "Mother's Day 2025 will be one I'll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I've strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full."

It's believed that Heard is still based in Spain, where she relocated some time ago. The last time she spoke publicly about her whereabouts, she confirmed she was living in Madrid, the country's vibrant capital city.

Interestingly, the Aquaman actress appears to be going by a new name too — Martha Jane Cannary, which is actually the real name of the American frontier legend Calamity Jane.

When it comes to work, Heard has made a major shift. She’s traded in movie roles for the theater stage. For months now, she’s been teasing her involvement with the Williamstown Theatre Festival over on Instagram.

She recently wrapped up her run in the play Spirit of the People, where she took on a leading role. The production seems to have marked a meaningful return to performing for her.

The show was performed partly in Spanish — a language Heard speaks fluently, which added another layer of connection between her and the role.

After the final curtain closed on Spirit of the People over the weekend, Heard posted a heartfelt photo of herself surrounded by vibrant bouquets of flowers.

She captioned the moment: "Thank you to all of my fans and supporters for making this already unforgettable weekend so much more beautiful." and added: "The flowers won't last forever but the memories of all the love and support I received through this, will."

Her performance didn’t go unnoticed either — critics were impressed.

In a glowing review, Vanity Fair had this to say about Heard’s stage presence: "Amber Heard's command of the stage, exceptional particularly for someone in her professional theatrical debut. As one of the three emotional anchors in the rangy, often surreal play, her character is cut from the same cloth as Blanche DuBois and her ilk: a torrid backstory and a thinning grasp on reality."

"Heard is not only eloquent and beautiful (and fluent in Spanish), but she embodies the fragility and resilience of a classic Tennessee Williams heroine."

Heard’s fans also showed their love and support. One person responded to her Instagram post saying: "Congratulations on an incredibly successful run with your play! It was an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to see you perform & I can't wait to see what you do next."

Another added their thoughts with: "You deserve this. Sending you all the love."
