Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are currently involved in a legal battle where Depp is suing Heard in a defamation trial.
The case involves Depp suing Heard for $50 million over the op-ed that the Aquaman actress wrote in 2018 in which she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence. The hearing for the trial began on April 11, 2022, in the attendance of the two Hollywood stars as Heard filed a counter case seeking $100 million from Depp.
The A-List trial is currently covered by big media channels and is broadcasted live on social media platforms. Based on the disturbing revelations and shocking allegations, people around the globe are watching the trial closely with majority rooting for Depp.
Depp's loyal fans have also fined a petition to remove Heard from the upcoming installment in the Aquaman series, which has gathered the attention of millions. In the latest update, someone changed Heard's name on the official IMDb page which was fixed later.
According to TMZ, Heard's name was changed on IMDb to 'Amber Turd' amid the defamation trial against Depp.
It is suspected that one of Depp's fans did the change. However, these changes were not official and so the actor's name was later corrected.
IMDb page was soon fixed as the news of the name change went viral, which seems like a prank done by Depp's supporters.
People have turned to support Depp after disturbing allegations made by the actor against his former wife, including a plethora of evidence and witness reports submitted to the court.
The two actors met on the sets of The Rum Diary in 2009 and began dating a few years later. They got married in February 2015 and later in 2016, they filed for divorce.
At the time of divorce, Heard sought a restraining order against Depp, alleging that he had physically abused her under the influence of drugs or alcohol. While Depp denied all the accusations, their divorce was finalised in 2017.
In 2018, Johnny Depp sued Heard for an op-ed that she wrote for The Washington Post in which she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence. Even though Heard did not directly mention Depp's name but it was obvious that the written piece was directed towards him.
Depp told the court that because of these false allegations his life is destroyed and both his career and personal life suffered badly.
