Evidence-based text messages have been revealed that document Depp's abuse on Amber Heard. Some of the messages date back to 2011, four years before the couple got married. The text messages have been sent to Heard's therapist and her father in which she has written about the alleged abuse and asked for support.

Text messages alleging Johnny Depp abused Amber Heard has been revealed.
On Friday, 17 June, Heard’s full Dateline interview with Savannah Guthrie aired, and during the NBC special, text messages allegedly sent from Heard to her father and therapist were made public.
Additionally, Heard's legal team gave NBC access to a binder that contained full therapist notes that dates back to as old as 2011 and also contains evidence of Depp's abuse.

In one text, dated 16 December 2015, Heard wrote to who she claims was her therapist: “Johnny did a number on me tonight. I’m safe and with my support tonight but I need some real help.
“Can I come tomorrow. I called earlier because I thought I had a concussion and didn’t know if I should have called police. But I have a nurse close to me.”
Additionally, Heard showed Guthrie and her team another message, from 2014, that she said was sent to her father around the time Depp allegedly kicked her on an airplane.

The text read: “I keep not fighting back. He literally kicked me and called me a [redacted] in front of everyone on the plane. It’s humiliating.”
The Aquaman man actress told Guthrie that she has been reporting her abuse to her therapist since 2011, even before the couple got married, and according to The Independent, NBC’s reporting team confirmed this.
According to Guthrie, therapist notes from January 2012 said Heard told her doctor that Depp 'hit her, threw her on the floor'.

Reportedly, the binder could not be submitted as evidence as it was considered hearsay.
Depp’s team released a statement to NBC regarding Heard’s claims without mentioning her by name.

“It’s unfortunate that while Johnny is looking to move forward with his life, the defendant and her team are back to repeating, reimagining and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the Court and a verdict that was unanimously and unequivocally decided by a jury in Johnny’s favour," they said, as the New York Post reports.
Heard’s team responded: “If Mr Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Guthrie for an hour and answer all her questions.”
