American Horror Story's Most Insane Moments

#1. Violet Makes a Somewhat Shocking Discovery

Violet Harmon experienced a YA-grade romance with ghost-hunk Tate, but it was the revelation of her true fate that came as a notable shocker. There's nothing worse than discovering you're dead and your body is in the crawlspace. That's exactly what Violet experienced - forcing the Harmons to stick around in the Murder House to be closer to their daughter. Everybody go check right now and make sure you are not dead.

#2. Twisty Should Go See a Dentist

Behind every great ghoulish serial killer is a tale as rich and textured as the teeth in his rotten, shotgun wound of a mouth. Which is to say, when American Horror Story: Freak Show's Twisty the death clown finally removed his smiling mask to relate his story to Edward Mordrake viewers learned a little more than they might like about this looming monster. Namely that a vicious case of halitosis was the least of his worries.

#3. Dandy Creates a Siamese Corpse Puppet

Any AHS fan worth his or her weight in blood should know that spoiled murder brat Dandy is going to do what whatever the hell Dandy wants to do. Case in point, bummed that he's lost the company of conjoined twins Dot and Bette, Dandy does what any clean cut psychopath would and creates a two-headed marionette corpse puppet out of his dead mom and a beheaded Avon lady. Wouldn't you?

#4. Sister Jude Plays the Name Game

Former nun turned inmate Sister Jude had a hell of a time taking on the demonic Sister Mary Eunice during American Horror Story: Asylum. Through all the Nazi medicine, sensual abuse, and monster murder happening under the roof of Briarcliff she still found a way to have fun.

Granted, it was a full on hallucination brought on by electroshock therapy but her performance of "The Name Game" stands out as one of the most insane moments in this show's history.

#5. Shelley the Nymphomaniac Has a Minor Blemish

Shelley's only crime was liking sex in a time where sex was supposed to be liked a certain way by certain people in certain amounts. Huh, maybe not all that much has changed. In any case, her story culminated in forced amputation at the hands of Dr. Arden and some nutso Nazi experiments that left her looking like a human popcorn ball.

#6. Rubber Man Wraps it Up

The character of Rubber Man basically introduced viewers to the world of AHS before the pilot even aired. Disturbing yet sleek, he had his way with Vivien while she was under the impression it was only her husband in a gimp suit. Really, it was the ghost of Tate putting a monster baby in her. Go figure.

#7. Myrtle Snow Scoops Out an Eyeball

Myrtle Snow could honestly have her own list, what with antics like using a melon baller to scoop out her fellow witch's eyeball. It was unexpected, cultured, and damn gory.

#8. Ma Petite Winds Up in a Jar of Formaldehyde

And now for a sad entry. Resident Freak Show tiny person Ma Petite had some of the most darling moments of the season, only to have her back broken by the Strong Man and her tiny corpse sold for display purposes. R.I.P. Ma Petite!
