TikTok user Dr. Brady was excited to find that the applicant they were interviewing claimed they could make balloon animals in their resume. So much so that they brought balloons to the interview to see it for themself.
Dr. Brady (@drbradysmith) on TikTok was excited to see one of their applicants had listed balloon animals as one of their special skills on their resume.
He was so excited in fact, that he brought balloons to the interview to see it for himself.
In a video subtitled, “It's cool…I used to lie to make friends too,” Dr Brady shared the story of his disappointment when he found that the applicant had been lying.
He said, “If you apply to my office for a job as a dental assistant or any capacity and in the skills section of your resume, you list balloon animals.”
“And then I bring balloons to the interview and you can’t make balloon animals not only are you not getting the job, but I’m pressing charges,”
Now people lie on their resumes all the time but this one was a new one.
Perhaps the applicant felt this was one of those things that was interesting enough to throw in but not something anyone would actually test.
Clearly, this interaction had an impact on the doctor as he was willing to press charges for the lack of balloon animals in his interview.
He further added, “That is to get my chubby hopes up and then to just learn you’re lying the whole time about that? Like you belong in jail, you savage animal. That’s how I feel.”
So the next time you lie about something mundane, hope you don’t find some eccentric doctor that would actually put you to the test.
Commenters found the exchange hilarious.
Others suggested creative ways to get out of the situation.
For those that could make balloon animals, it was a revelation that they could add it to their resume.
