Armed Robbers' Getaway Vehicle STOLEN By Carjackers In Middle Of Their Raid In Hilarious Clip

A gang of armed robbers had their getaway car stolen as they were conducting a crime, in a crime-spree twist captured on CCTV cameras.

Three masked and armed individuals attacked the Hi-Lo Check Cashing business in Commerce City, resulting in the incident. 

Fortunately, nobody was harmed in the burglary—well, maybe just the egos of the offenders.

The police showed a video of the robber's black car with magenta tape on one window circling the parking lot.

Later, people got out of the car without locking it, which seemed like a basic thing to do when relying on the vehicle to escape from the police.

Almost like a scene from a movie, another guy observed the error, climbed in the automobile, and drove off. 

The thief was identified as a lady by the police, who managed to leave the criminals without an escape path.

"As the trio was robbing the business…a fourth criminal stole their getaway vehicle," police said in a statement. 

"Bested by an industry colleague. It happens to everyone, boys," continued the PD.

The armed criminals were forced to flee on foot. 

Thankfully, two of them were eventually apprehended by police.

Authorities discovered a loaded handgun and a shotgun on the two young people, who are only 14 and 15, according to a department spokesperson.

The suspects do not yet have charges filed against them. 

The department has not provided details regarding the third suspect connected to the heist.

In a statement, the Commerce City Police Department stated that they thought the robbers were younger than eighteen.

At a briefing, the police department stated, "We are relieved that no one was injured."

The spokesperson stated that police believed the getaway car to be a stolen Kia that had previously been broken into.

The woman who stole the car is being investigated by the police for motor vehicle theft; no other information about her has been provided.

With a sense of humor, the police department posted about the incident on Facebook, using the following as the headline: "In an unexpected and ironic twist… as the trio was robbing the business…a fourth criminal stole their getaway vehicle… which may have already been stolen. We don’t know. If we get a solid description of it, we will release that here."

Commerce City Police posted the following on social media in a subsequent update that included the video: "We've had a lot of requests for this video... and we weren't sure it existed. Until today. We don't know whether to thank her or arrest her-- probably both," referring to the carjacker.

They finally had a message for the car thief: "So ma'am-- whoever you are-- we'd like to shake your hand. Then slap a pair of handcuffs on it because you're also facing Motor Vehicle Theft charges."
