A notorious moneylender who was once known as Australia's toughest criminal has altered his appearance with an intensive diet to become a professional dirt bike rider. After becoming a target of the Australian authorities, former millionaire Tim "Sharky" Ward fled from the Gold Coast to the streets of Thailand in 2009.
Australian Gangster Tim ‘Sharky’ Ward ‘Unrecognizable’ After Years Abroad
After 13 years away, a former billionaire gangster has returned, and people are surprised by his new appearance.
When Tim Ward, well known by his friends as Sharky, abandoned Queensland, Australia for Thailand in 2009, he was well renowned for his enormous bodybuilder physique.
Due to his nearly gang-like loan shark lifestyle, which saw him go from being a "poor young kid" to a multi-millionaire personal lender with three Lamborghinis and a nightclub, he was being pursued by Australian police at the time.
He allegedly charged 200 percent interest on his loans and was prohibited from doing so in Queensland in the middle of the 2000s before facing legal action from the Department of Fair Trading.
However, he gave a life update earlier this week along with a rare selfie on TikTok, and he looks remarkably different now.
The muscular physique is no longer present; instead, a slim, almost small-boy-like body stature has taken its place.
Although his hands are still quite enormous, the rest of him appears to have been away from a gym for a very long period.
In reality, he was in Australia throughout the outbreak and is shortly to return to Thailand.
He said in a video recently: “Everyone keeps asking me 'are you going to go back to Thailand?'.”
“Yeah, I am going to go back to Thailand when they drop the Thailand Pass.”
“I can't be bothered applying for stupid passes at the moment.”
“But I will miss Australia. Australia is the most beautiful place in the world - I have been to a lot of places, but nowhere as beautiful as this.”
Although it is unknown if Sharky's charges have been dropped or not, it does seem that he is now free to travel in and out of Australia as much as he pleases.
According to numerous regional news sources, Sharky was also known as a pimp.
Justgirls.co.nz asserts that he once employed about 600 sex workers for him.
In 2014, there were rumors that he might join WWE.
He was considered an "internet celebrity" at the time, and former WWE Vice President of Talent Relations Jane Geddes observed: "He already has such a following.”
"It wouldn’t be hard to make him a legend. His merchandising potential is outstanding."
He explained to a local news organization in 2017 why he currently resides in Thailand.
He explained: “It is one of the only places in the world where I do feel free.”
“I f**k up all the time but I pay.”
“It beats going to jail - in Australia, I would be in jail.”
He said: "I take testosterone and growth hormones, but I know how to take it.”
"I know exactly how to keep my levels where they need to be.”
"The disadvantage of taking is that your body will stop producing it.”
"These guys don't want to do it slow anymore, they want to be there now.”
"It's sad because they're not enjoying the training.”
"This is Thailand - just because it's got big breasts and long hair doesn't mean it's a woman, and just because a small bottle says it's testosterone, it doesn't mean it's testosterone."
