The recluse spiders or brown spiders, also known as fiddle-back, violin spiders or reapers, are a genus of venomous spiders known for their bite. They tend to have violin or fiddle shapes on their back and a major distinguishing feature is that they only have 6 eyes. Avoid at all cost. If you can't avoid, kill it dead!

This is a wolf spider. Commonly mistaken for a recluse. They have a nasty bite but nowhere near as nasty as a recluse. Check the eyes (they have 8 including two HUGE ones) or just kill it on site.

In the United States this is the general habitat of the various recluse species. If you encounter one outside of these areas it's not a native and was likely brought by someone during a move.
