Biker Finds A Box In The Middle Of Nowhere. When He Opens It? I’m Floored!

#1 Texan bicyclist James McHugh had a very unexpected wrench thrown into his route during a ride in Houston.

#2 In the video above a YouTube user James, who goes under username shiftpgdn,

was cycling in the middle of nowhere when he found a box on the side of the road.

#3 Now obviously,

that box could have been anything from a bomb to a killer crab to a ninja turtle but James took the risk and opened the box without hesitation.

What he found inside the box completely surprised him. It was a puppy.

#4 McHugh recorded his encounter with a puppy who was more than excited to see a human face.

#5 Which makes total sense because she was miles ...

. . . and miles away from civilization. "I'm like, 10 miles from the nearest anything," McHugh says in the video.

#6 With nothing but a box to shield her from the elements,

it was pretty obvious this puppy had been cruelly abandoned, for reasons still unknown.

#7 Being a Good Samaritan,

McHugh knew he couldn't just leave this playful, affectionate little girl alone ...

#8 ... so he tucked the dog into his shirt took her with him, all the way to his home.

#9 McHugh told Metro UK that he would've loved to keep the dog, but already owned two rescues.

#10 By the end of the video, he makes a plea for someone to take ownership of the dog.

As it turns out, her new owner was closer than she could ever imagine. A neighbor of McHugh's saw his video and decided to adopt her, naming her Luna.
