An adventure for this tourist couple at Yellowstone National Park almost turned into a tragedy after they got too close to the wild animal and the animal perceived them as a threat and violently charged toward them.
America's national parks are beautiful and for many visiting these parks is a thrilling experience. It gives tourists not only an experience close to nature but with wildlife, it counts as an adventure for many.
These visitors to Yellowstone National Park got too close to Bison and the bizarre footage shows one tourist carrying the tiny child out of harm's path as the bison charged toward them.
EMS transported the wounded guy to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Rob Goodell, a park visitor, claims in his video clip that he had been following the bison for some time before filming it. He claims to have observed how the incident developed and that the man wearing a cap in the video approached the bison and got too close to it.
Goodell claims that the victim was actually the one who threatened the animal first by getting too close to it.
The bison then pursued the elder couple when the child ran in their direction.
Jeremy Shaw, a park manager at Utah’s Antelope Island, said people often get too close to bison.
“They always want to get closer and closer for photos. But ultimately, any time there is a dangerous interaction with wildlife, it’s because the person got too close.”
Experts say when a tourist approaches a bison too closely, the animal naturally perceives a threat and gores the person.
Investigation into the event is underway.
