She felt uncomfortable by this sudden change of heart and the strange evaluation of her card.

He also made a comment about finally 'knowing her last name' which; red flag.

OP clarified in her comments that she had previously told him she was uncomfortable revealing her last name because of a prior stalking incident which left her fearful for her safety.

She said she was mostly put off because of the game he played pretending to split the bill only to switch up at the last minute.

She felt like she was being 'shit-tested' to see if she was actually willing to pay the bill.

After she left, she blocked him on her way home but was second guessing herself after a friend told her she was in the wrong.

She further clarified in a later edit that she was freaked out by the way he checked her card.

She added that she had tipped but the comments made her feel like she should still have covered her half of the bill so she ended up venmoing him for the rest.

She also said allegations of her being a gold-digger were laughable since she was in a high paying job while he was a teacher.

Some commenters agreed that 'shit-testing' was a common thing going around YouTube and that he had probably picked it up from there.

They also agreed that wanting to know her name after she had made it clear she didn't want it known was a major problem.
