The adult content creator appeared in court following her arrest in Bali
Adult content creator Bonnie Blue has now received a significant punishment after being detained in Bali over allegations linked to filming adult material while traveling across the Indonesian island in her so-called “Bang Bus.”
The 26-year-old, whose real name is Tia Billinger, returned to the UK earlier this month after being deported from Indonesia following a court appearance.
Blue had traveled to the popular backpacker destination around the same time as Australia’s “Schoolies” celebrations, when thousands of recent graduates visit tourist hotspots to mark the end of their exams.
Blue was detained along with 33 others after police raided a production studio in Bali.
Most of the men involved were later released, while Blue and three members of her team were held ahead of an immigration hearing.
At one stage, she faced the possibility of spending more than a decade in prison due to alleged violations of Bali’s strict morality and immigration laws.
The court ultimately found Blue guilty of “violating traffic regulations by using an open-back truck for goods but carrying people on the open-back truck.”
She was issued a fine of 200,000 Indonesian rupiah, which is around $12, and was deported for an immigration offense after authorities determined she had been working while on a tourist visa.
In addition to her deportation, Blue has also been banned from entering Indonesia for a period of ten years.
Authorities confirmed that they did not proceed with charges related to the alleged production of pornographic content.
Police stated that only “private video footage” was found on Blue’s phone, which they said was not intended for public distribution.
Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman explained that Blue entered Indonesia on a visa on arrival while producing commercial content that could potentially disturb public order.
Yusman added: "Therefore, we imposed a 10-year entry ban because these activities aren't in line with the government's efforts to maintain Bali's quality tourism image and respect for local cultural values."
After returning to the UK, Blue later addressed the situation publicly by sharing a video on Instagram filmed on the day she attended court.
"Get ready with me for trial," she said in the clip. "I really wanted to wear my 'Schoolies T-shirt', family have strongly said don't, still gonna take it, see what my lawyer says."
As she applied her makeup ahead of her court appearance, Blue continued: "I don't really know what to expect today, I just know we're gonna meet a judge and it's a court. Police will be there, immigration will be there, press will be there."
She also criticized police and immigration officials, claiming they repeatedly complained about media attention while allegedly inviting press coverage and leaking information to journalists.
The adult content creator further alleged that the woman who organized the trip took a large portion of her reported $95,000 fee and then reported her to authorities.
