Following the circulation of a disturbing video on social media, an assault charge has been filed against the owner of an Arizona construction company. The video captured the owner slapping a female worker, leading to widespread public outrage.
Boss Arrested After Video Shows Him Slapping Female Worker

After a video of a boss yelling at his workers and slapping a female employee went viral, the man was jailed.
According to court records, the incident took place at a location in North Phoenix, Arizona, at around 12:30 on May 16. The man in the video was the owner of BPH Construction LLP, Brent Michael Hospelhorn.
He went on a foul-mouthed rant on the video, claiming that a woman had damaged some cabinets in a house they were building.
The tirade also looked to show instances of physical abuse.
The unnamed woman appears to be receiving a smack from him on the video, along with him screaming slurs at her and threatening to dismiss her.
In the footage, he is heard ordering people to "get the f**k out of my building right now" before striking a woman and calling her a "f**king b****h."
Additionally, he addressed the person who was recording the conversation, calling them a "goddam worthless piece of s**t."
After the video was posted to TikTok, it soon became viral, which prompted people to call for the police to take action.
Phoenix police ignored online complaints from people who claimed their officers had not taken any action, claiming that these people were spreading an "inaccurate narrative."
They claimed that after responding to a complaint, their officers reported the incident, arrested the 46-year-old for assault, issued him a citation, and suggested that he be charged.
He does now appear to have been charged with minor assault, according to court documents, and he is expected to appear in court on May 26.
It is not a felony charge since the severity of the injuries and whether a weapon was used by the attacker determine whether a crime is classified as a felony or a misdemeanor in Arizona.
If specific people are charged, such as a police officer or a firefighter, the charges may be escalated.
Viewers were surprised by the man's alleged behavior, and some were not pleased with the police releasing him, as the video continues to go viral on TikTok.
The slap as well as the fact that he "did it so easily with a camera on him" stunned the audience. Some viewers expressed their "fear for the young lady's safety" and their belief that "this lady needs justice," while others described the video as "disturbing."
After watching the video, some people exclaimed, "It makes my blood boil."
