Britney Spears Shares Incredibly Intimate Details As She Reveals Two-Week Fling With Colin Farrell
Following her heartbreaking separation from Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears opened out about the details of her "passionate" relationship with Colin Farrell.
In her upcoming book, The Woman in Me, Spears talks about fame, survival, and hope during her years in the spotlight and beyond.
She also shares details of her brief two-week romance.
Since she began dating Timberlake, another of the top pop singers, Spears' love life has been widely publicized.
However, she is now disclosing fresh information that was not captured on camera.
Within the weeks following their "official" breakup, Spears alleges in a passage from the book that Time quoted that Timberlake had sex with "six or seven girls."
She writes, describing how devastated she is about their breakup: "He was a girl’s dream. I was in love with him.”
Farrell was introduced to Spears by a "club promoter friend" when she started dating once more.
Following Spears' visit to Farrell on the set of his 2003 movie S.W.A.T., she claims the two developed feelings with one another.
The singer states, "Brawl is the only word for it - we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight," going so far as to compare their romance to a "two-week brawl."
Though Spears acknowledges that she wasn't quite over Timberlake at the time, the two made an appearance in public together at the 2003 premiere of Farrell's film The Recruit.
“As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet," she explains.
At the event, Farrell told reporters that Spears was a "sweet, sweet girl," but added that the two were "not dating."
"There’s nothing going on - just mates,” he said at the time.
Later, Spears admitted to W Magazine that she had "kissed" Farrell and called him the "cutest, hottest thing in the world," but she insisted that the romance was "nothing serious."
Spears acknowledges that she thought there "could be something there" "for a brief moment in time," even though she doesn't go into depth about how her connection with Farrell ended in The Woman in Me.
"The disappointments in my romantic life were just one part of how isolated I became. I felt so awkward all the time," she writes.
Her candid reflections on fame, survival, and hope offer readers a glimpse into the rollercoaster journey she embarked upon in the public eye.
She expresses the feelings of isolation that came with the constant scrutiny, portraying the struggles and awkwardness she felt in her extraordinary life.
Britney's book is not only a revelation of her personal experiences but also a journey through the human side of fame, love, and the resilience it takes to navigate the spotlight's unrelenting glare.
